DAY 1, Wednesday, August 4, 2010 - We will depart from the Houston International Airport on Lufthansa German Airlines for our trans-Atlantic flight to Frankfurt, Germany where we will connect for our flight into Prague Dinner on board. D

DAY 2: Thursday, August 5, 2010 - Upon arrival at the international airport in Prague, Czech Republic, we will meet our guide and driver and transfer to the waiting motor coach.  Prague is the capital and largest city in the Czech Republic.  Situated on the Vltava River in central Bohemia, Prague has been the political, cultural and economic center of the Czech state for more than 1100 years.  For many decades during the Gothic and Renaissance eras, Prague was the permanent seat of two Holy Roman Emperors and thus was also the capital of the Holy Roman Empire.  Today, the city proper is home to about 1.3 million people while its metropolitan area is estimated to have a population of over 1.9 million.  Since 1992, the extensive historic center of Prague has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites making the city one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe.  We will check into our centrally located hotel in Prague and have dinner and overnight.  Meals on aircraft and dinner. BSD

DAY 3: Friday, August 6 2010 - After breakfast in our hotel, we will begin a full day guided sightseeing tour of Prague.  We will visit the Old Royal Palace which grew and gradually gained its present appearance from the time of its founding in the late 9th century.  The original wooden building with a stone foundation wall was converted into a stone Romanesque palace by Prince Sobeslav in the early 12th century.  Remainders of it have been preserved below ground level to the present.  The palace was adjoined on its eastern side by All Saint's Chapel, which was consecrated in 1185.  Prague history is full of legends and there is also one about this late-Gothic part of the fortifications of Prague.  We will see Golden Lane, a street lined by 11 historic houses, which exhibit medieval armoury and textiles and also sells tourist souvenirs.  We will see St. George's Basilica, the oldest church building within the Prague Castle complex.  It is also the best-preserved Romanesque church in Prague.  We will visit the Church of our Lady of Victory before our dinner and overnight in Prague.
